Pune, January 8, 2025: A shocking incident has transpired in the multinational firm in Ramwadi, Yerawada, where a 30-year-old individual brutally assaulted his female colleague with a sharp weapon and murdered her. The incident took place in the parking space of WNS, a multinational IT company in Ramwadi, on Tuesday evening at 6:15 p.m.
The murdered woman has been identified as Shubhada Shankar Kodare (age 28, a resident of Balaji Nagar, Katraj). In this regard, the Yerawada police have arrested Krishna Satyanarayan Kanoja (age 30, a resident of Khairewadi, Shivajinagar).
As per the information, both the victim and the accused work as accountants in the multinational IT company in Ramwadi. Shubhada Kodare, an original resident of Karad, Satara, had taken a small amount of money as a loan from the accused, Krishna Kanoja. However, as she did not return his money on time, they had an argument over the repayment of loan money.
Harbouring the anger of that thing in mind, the accused, Krishna Kanoja, chased Shubhada on Tuesday evening after they finished their work and halted her at the parking space of the company. In the subsequent argument between them, the accused took out a sharp weapon from him and assaulted Shubhada with it, in which she sustained severe injuries.
The accused brutally hit the hand of the victim, and the blow was so strong that her hand was broken in it. The injured girl was immediately admitted to Sahyadri Hospital in Yerawada. However, she succumbed to injuries during treatment due to massive bleeding. Yerawada police have arrested Krishna Kanoja.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Himmat Jadhav said, “The woman was rushed to a private hospital after the incident. But, later in the night, she succumbed to her injuries while being treated. The suspect has been placed under arrest.” He also informed that the complaint has been registered in this regard against the accused at the Yerawada police station, and Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke is investigating the case further.
