Pune:Maharashtra’s law and order situation has once again taken a beating, this time it has taken the worse turn as a BJP MLA took to firing at Shiv Sena leader right in the police station and right in front of a police personnel present there. What can be worse then this ? asks acitivists.
The incident happened late last evening in Ulhasnagar area of Maharashtra. BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad fired and injured Shiv Sena
leader Mahesh Gaikwad, who heads the Kalyan Shiv Sena which belongs to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Ganpat Gaikwad and two of his associates have been arrested by the Ulhasnagar police station. The incident apparently happened infront of a senior police inspector.
Both the Gaikwads apparently were fighting over a property. They had a heated argument over a piece of property in the police station after which Ganpat Gaikwad allegedly fired at Mahesh Gaikwad and his associate.
Ganpat Gaikwad told media persons that he fired in self-defence. He said he had complained about Mahesh Gaikwad to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and was expecting action from him.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said he will talk to Devendra Fadnavis about the incident and find out what exactly has happened. Till 1 pm, there was no word either from the Chief Minister or from the Deputy Chief Minister.
