Pune, December 9, 2024: In a shocking turn of events early this morning, Satish Satba Wagh, the maternal uncle of Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Yogesh Tilekar, was abducted by a group of unidentified individuals. The dramatic incident occurred around 6 a.m. near Fursungi Phata in Shewalwadi.
Satish Wagh, aged 58, is a resident of Fursungi Phata, near Akash Lawn and Blueberry Hotel, Manjari Farm. According to preliminary information from the police, Wagh was on his routine morning walk, heading towards Fursungi, when he was forcibly taken by four to five people in a cream-coloured Chevrolet Enjoy car.
Eyewitness Nilesh Balasaheb Sodnar, 47, who was present at the scene, reported that he saw the car speeding off towards Fursungi with Satish Wagh inside. His testimony has provided a crucial lead for the police. Senior Police Inspector Santosh Pandhare from Hadapsar Police Station confirmed the incident and assured that a team of officers has been deployed to investigate the matter.
Police are exploring all possible motives, including personal enmities or financial disputes, that may have led to the kidnapping. “The investigation is in full swing. We are tracing the vehicle and gathering information about the suspects,” Inspector Pandhare stated.
