Pune: VOTING started at exactly 7 am in 20,.632 booths of in Haryana today. As many as 90 seats are going to polls.
In all, there are 1031 candidates in fray and 20.4 million voters. Of these, over 9 million are female and more than 10 million are male voters.
Of the 90 seats in Haryana assembly, 73 are general seats while 17 are reserved constituencies.
The elections were fought on several issues including farm distress to the controversial Agnipath case.
In 2019 elections, the BJP has emerged as the single largest party bagging 40 seats while the Congress had to remain content with 31 seats. The JJP had won 10 seats and others 8 seats.
