Pune, May 11, 2025: In a significant action, the district administration has taken a strong action against people who were destructing a local environment in the Mauje Bibwewadi area by illegally quarrying and flattening the hill. The administration has seized the excavator of the accused involved in the action and issued a stern warning to the accused against involving themselves in such action again.
This action was taken by the team of district administration, including Haveli Sub-Divisional Officer Yashwant Mane, Pune City Tehsildar Suryakant Yewale, Haveli Tehsildar Kiran Surawase and other revenue officials under the guidance of the District Collector Jitendra Dudi.
The district administration has received information about the illegal excavation and levelling of the land in the Bibwewadi area. Accordingly, the administration conducted a drone survey and site inspection. The district administration discovered that unauthorised excavation and land levelling were taking place at this location. After that, the district administration stepped in and immediately halted the further process.
In this regard, the administration also seized the Poclain Hyundai Two Ten used in this work. The police found that the owner of this excavator is Rakesh Sharma, and neither he nor the developer of this site had taken any prior permission from the government for excavation and levelling of the land. Therefore, a complaint has been filed in the police station against the concerned person in this matter.
The District Collector Jitendra Dudi issued a stern warning in this regard, stating, “Strict action will be taken against anyone found involved in illegal excavation and environmental destruction.”
