Pune, May 9, 2025: Wednesday, on May 7, the Indian armed forces destroyed the nine terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) and in the rest of Pakistan under ‘Operation Sindoor’ in response to the cowardly terrorist attack by the terrorists on the tourists in Pahalgam on April 22. After that, a war-like situation has developed between India and Pakistan.
In the background of the Indian attack, Pakistan last night attempted to attack civilian populations and infrastructure in India. The Pakistan also attempted to attack the Jammu Airport last night. Considering the possible threat of cross-border attack, the Pune Airport Administration has taken the decision to cancel thirteen flights on various routes from Pune Airport.
The Pune Airport Administration informed that thirteen flights on various routes were cancelled on Thursday. These flights were mostly of companies Indigo and SpiceJet. Meanwhile, the aeroplane companies are contacting the passengers and are assuring that they would be provided with a full refund or would be provided with alternative flight facilities.
The administration said that this decision has been taken due to security requirements. Meanwhile, the administration has cancelled IndiGo flights from Amritsar to Pune, Pune to Kochi, Chandigarh to Pune, Pune-Hyderabad, Rajkot (Hissar) to Pune, Pune to Jodhpur, Pune to Amritsar, Pune-Rajkot, Pune-Surat, and Jodhpur to Pune. While SpiceJet flights from Pune-Bhavnagar and Pune to Jaipur have also been cancelled.
