Pune, May 13, 2025: A startling incident has come to light from the Walhekarwadi area of Chinchwad, where two individuals brutally stabbed a 17-year-old girl and killed her. In this regard, the police have arrested the accused immediately. The reason behind the murder has not been clear yet; however, the police suspect the financial reason behind this gruesome act.
The arrested accused have been identified as Udaybhan Bansi Yadav (age 42, a resident of Walhekarwadi, Chinchwad) and Abhishek Ranvijay Yadav (age 21, a resident of Uttar Pradesh). The deceased girl’s maternal uncle has lodged a complaint in this case.
As per the police information, the girl was living in Walhekarwadi with her mother and a brother. On Sunday, the girl was standing outside her house. At that time, the accused, Udaybhan and Abhishek, came there on a bike, and they stabbed the girl on her neck, back, and hands, leaving her severely wounded. Due to this brutal stabbing, the girl fell unconscious with a lot of bleeding from her body.
Initially, her family took her to a private hospital and then to YCM hospital in Pimpri. However, the doctors declared her dead upon arrival. Upon learning of the incident, the Chinchwad police rushed to the location and arrested the accused.
The police have speculated that the murder was committed due to financial reasons. “The exact reason for the murder is not yet known. The reason behind the murder will be revealed after a thorough investigation of the accused,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police Sachin Hire.
