Pune, April 29, 2025: In a disturbing incident, a violent clash broke out between two groups in the Bhavani Peth area of Pune on Tuesday afternoon. The brawl, which stemmed from a trivial argument over the honking of a vehicle horn, left local residents stunned and has once again put the spotlight on Pune’s deteriorating law and order situation.
According to a viral video, the altercation began when a two-wheeler rider, while passing through the busy streets of Bhavani Peth, honked to alert a pedestrian in his path. What should have ended as a routine exchange quickly turned volatile. The pedestrian, allegedly enraged by the horn, hurled abuse at the biker. Immediately, the biker got off his vehicle and began assaulting the pedestrian.
The situation rapidly went out of control as supporters from both sides rushed to the spot. After that, a violent fight took place between these two groups in which shirts and clothes of people were torn in broad daylight in the middle of the road.
Alerted by locals, the Khadak Police promptly arrived at the scene and managed to bring the situation under control. Meanwhile, the police have arrested one of the accused and are conducting further investigation in this regard.
