Pune: Nationalist Congress Party has ramped up its campaign for the upcoming assembly polls in the state. On Tuesday, NCP Student and Youth frontals organized a Yuva Samvaad and a Signature campaign at Amalner assembly constituency in Jalgaon district. NCP national student president Sunny Mankar, NCP State Student president Prashant Kadam Patil and NCP Yuvati Working President Anjali Avhad and other leaders from the youth wing attended the event. The event saw a large turnout.
The same day, NCP women frontal organized a ‘Human Chain Programme’ at Sambhaji Nagar, a signature campaign at Raigad and Nashik city.
Ahead of assembly polls, the NCP through innovative ideas is trying to reach out to the voters by highlighting its vision for the state. The party is trying to connect with the electorate through unique initiatives like animated videos, wall signature campaign, rangoli making competition and human chain program.
Earlier, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) State President Sunil Tatkare participated in a ‘signature campaign’ in Pune. Thousands of people signed the white canvas which read – ‘I support the Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme and want it to continue for next 5 years.’
The party’s women wing, youth wing and the students wing is at the forefront of these creative initiatives. Over the past few weeks, frontal organizations including the youth, students and women wing of the party have been actively undertaking various unique programmes to connect with the voters. Youth leader Suraj Chavan and Women Wing President Rupali Chakankar have held the signature campaign at various constituencies in the state.
NCP’s national president Ajit Pawar himself has hit the road. Presently, he is on a state-wide yatra termed as Jan Sanman Yatra through which he is trying to make people aware about the government’s flagship schemes. The Ladki Bahin Scheme announced in this year’s budget has become popular among women which many political observers suggest can be a game changer for the government.
On social media platforms, party through creative videos is showcasing its development initiatives in the state. NCP President who has been representing Baramati assembly constituency for 35 years has made significant contributions in the development of the region. Ajit Pawar claims that the development work worth more than Rs 750 crore is going on in the Baramati assembly constituency as well as Baramati has seen significant improvements in road infrastructure. During his Jan Sanman Yatra is Baramati, Ajit Pawar had said “without being asked, we have also established a medical college.
He also said that the medical college has been named after the revered Ahilyabai Holkar, following a request from the community.”. Deputy CM has also claimed to have ‘accomplished more in Baramati assembly constituency than anyone in any of the other 287 constituencies’ claims Deputy CM.’
Through these activities the party is reaching out to the voters by highlighting the benefits of the government’s flagship schemes like Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme which provides Rs 1500 financial assistance to women, over 1.6 crore women have already received the benefits of the scheme, free 3 gas cylinders to 52 lakh household, electricity waiver to over 44 lakh farmers through Baliraja scheme, Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana and fee education to girls.
