Pune, January 25, 2025: A tragic car accident took place on Navale Bridge on Saturday early morning in which two individuals have died on the spot. The accident occurred as a fast-speed Swift car rammed a standing bus from behind near Navale Bridge.
This terrible accident took place near Vadgaon Bridge on the bypass highway at around 5 a.m. today. As per the primary information, two people died and four were injured in the accident. The injured people have been taken to the hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.
Police informed that on Saturday morning, six individuals were returning to their home from their friend’s birthday party in a car (MH 12 KW 3663). However, on the Navale bridge, the driver of the car could not see the standing bus, and as a result, the speeding car crashed into the bus from behind.
The impact of the collision was so high that two individuals from the car died on the spot, whereas four other individuals received severe injuries. The people standing there admitted the injured individuals to Navale hospital first; after that, they were shifted to other private hospitals.
Prima facie, police did not find any evidence of a drink and drive case. However, concerned police officials informed that they were thoroughly investigating the case from all angles.
